I am looking for a sewing machine, and i am REALLY new to this, i don't know the differences in machines. I have been watching videos on youtube.com and learned the basics on how it works and how to learn, but i am kinda clueless when it comes to picking out the machine.

Don't buy sewing machines by # of stitches/$ spent... generally, the ones with the higher number of stitches per dollar are less sturdy machines.
If you only want to do jeans-type hems and pieced quilts, and you were here with me, I'd probably try to talk you into a second hand Singer 15 or 99 or 66 -- these are old straight stitch machines from when Singer still made excellent machines, and can often be gotten for about $10.
