That would work for one budgie, but for a pair it would be too small. Ideal dimensions for a cage is 40 inches long, 20 inches deep, and 32 inches high. The bars should be no more than 1/2 inch apart. If your budgies are aloud playtimne outside their cage then your cage is a good size. With birds, bigger cages are always better but its no rush to get a bigger cage. A bigger cage would give them much space to play but they are also more expensive. If you wish to get a bigger cage for your birds then feel free to do so.
