i am doing a project for science, we are testing conditions for plant growth, me and my partner put a pea seed in a petri dish with wet paper on both sides as a control. in another dish we did the same thing but instead of water we mixed 2.5 ml of water with 2.5 ml of coke to test growth in acid conditions. and then for the last petri dish we used 2.5 ml of water with 2.5 ml of house hold ammonia for a base solution.

and for what ever reason none of them grew one bit, we added water over the days to all of them but none of them grew. so now me and my partner are kinda screwed, we are just gonna make up results. we were planning to measure the root length of each, so what would a plant grow better in, an acidic solution or a basic solution?
this is experiment was carried out over 6 days. any idea on the approximate root length of it after that if it did grow?
