I work in a pet store, and a bird has gotten out of its aviary and we can't figure out how to get it back into it's cage. It's basically in a warehouse, high ceilings with rafters and I'm just not sure how to get it back in?
I've been in your shoes, I rescue a lot of hurt or injured wild birds and tame birds. This is what I always do when they fly away in a consumed space:
1) You must locate the bird's place
2) Gather flashlights for everyone
3) Make sure again you know where the bird is
4) Turn off all lights, without light the bird will not fly because he cannot see.
5) Point you flashlight LIGHTLY to the bird
6) Once you know where he is turn off all your flashlights except one but put you hand over it to not much light get out
7) Catch the bird from behind with a net or towel
