no ice cream just the cone. there plain cones not waffel cones. I want to make bird toys and wondering if its safe for them. What other foods are safe for them that are around the house. I already know whats toxic but it says nothing about the cones for ice cream.
I know about no toilet paper rolls nothing with zinc in it. The bells and clips I get are zinc free. no jingle bells no bells for large birds they take of the clinker. no salt sugar chocolate caffeine alcohol poisonous wood or plants. I used to breed birds and made toys for them but I am very creative and want to try new things.

yes seeds are good as treats but not as a diet. I don't have any salt free seeds or nuts in the house.
Check the ingredients list on the cone package. If sugar & sodium is very low it would prob be okay (or let me put it this way---I would let my birds eat it). Mine get pretzels (unsalted), I also feed cooked pasta, prob not very good in toy form lol.
I've given my large macaw, also my amazon uncooked pasta and that could b used for toy making. The problem I had w the uncooked stuff is that if they chewed it up there were bits&pieces that land on the floor and until you clean it up it's quite easy to step on a piece w a sharp edge. I'm barefoot allot while at home and it can be like stepping on glass. It's embarrassing tell someone that you cut your foot on elbow macaroni.
