Can anyone give me a list of supplies you need before bringing a budgie home?

I actually have 2 questions. Budgie/parakeet seed
Cuttlebone or mineral block
food and water bowls (although they're usually included with the cage, buy some extras for fruits, veggies, and other foods)
Septic powder (optional, in case of bleeding, you can use flour to stop bleeding, as well)
Cage cover (if you don't have one)
White cage liners (or you can use black and white newspaper)
Several toys (mirrors, ladders, swings, lantern with a bell, preen toys)
Spray millet (good to feed them as a treat)
Fresh fruits and veggies (you can buy these when you buy your budgie)
A millet holder (sold at petstores)
Treat holders (for fruits and veggies)

Two or three toys in the cage should be fine. You can always switch them around or out of the cage and place new ones in. This will keep your budgies occupied and keep their mind's stimulated. Too many toys crowd the cage and be overwhelming.

Two perches minimum. An extra perch, like a pumice perch (for keeping nails trim), calcium perch (they can nibble on and get extra nutrients) or a manzanita perch (they can chew on) can be added to the cage if you'd like. You don't want too many perches in the cage or the budgies won't be comfortable moving around.
