What is the best tool to break down a large chunk of chocolate?
Hey I already know for a fact that chocolate makes me fat (which is why I work out EVERY day - at 45 I have to too keep this slender hot young figure).
-
Okay, I currently use a 1/4" Stanley Steel Core chisel & a wooden mallet (meat tenderizer).
-
I was wondering is there a better tool to use?
-
I mean, is there something better to break it down to bite sized pieces? I don't have the time to melt it down and reform it into bite sized uniform pieces. If I'm not careful I lose bits flying about & chocolate is not good for my cats.
While on the other hand, its much more sensible to buy my snacking chocolate by the bulk slab at the food warehouse (in CA - I go to Winco).
-
NO i will not share with those little hollow weiners, this is for "my" stash.
C'mon guys get serious, this is really an important question. A knife will definitely not cut it.
The slabs are quite thick & if you're a serious chocolate consumer, then you ought to know the best tool for the job!
If you go to a cooking store, they sell a little tool especially for that purpose. It's like a chisel handle with an end that has four really thick short tines. Works like a damn. They SHOULD sell them where you buy slabs.
*** Here you go at Amazon. It's called a chocolate Chipper and it's six bucks ( I can tell NOBODY here has ever broken down big slabs. Try using a knife...you'd die of chocolate withdrawal long before you got any bite-sized pieces.
