hi i am a 15yr old living in missouri and wish to own a fennec fox. i have done my fair share of research and understand that in their habitat they like to dig...alot! i have a sort-of large backyard and the size i want to make the pen is right now it is surounded by a wooden privacy fence. i was thinking of digging up about 3.5 ft. into the ground and placing a chain link fence material, then covered with wire mesh,followed by 3in.of gravel and the rest filled with sand so it can still dig if it wants to, but i don't know if this is a good idea or if it will just be a flop.please understand that i have been around exotic pets of all sorts in my lifetime (mini horses, boas, bearded dragons,parrots,etc.) and my mom and i feel that i can definately take on such a HUGE responsibility,so please do not try to talk me out of it. if any of you have suggestions or reccomendations on the outdoor part of their habitat, please respond.
