She seems healthy. She eats a normal amount of seeds, along with some fruits and veggies. I just brought her home last week, shes still a little nervous around me. & her droppings are healthy. theyre not loose, or any abnormal colour. they just seem to be sticking to her back end and than falling off in small little dropping balls. my last bird i owned for 8 years just recently died, so when i see the slightest thing wrong with my new bird, i get so scared.
One possible reason for your budgie to have droppings sticking to her feathers (especially in the vent area) is that your bird could be eating watery fruits and veggies. Another possibility (although I don't think this is the case with your budgie) is liver or kidney disease. A budgie with these diseases would also show signs of illness such as lethergy, fluffed up apperance, and heavy breathing, although the budgie would still be eating normally. See what happens with her droppings sticking to her feathers as she gets used to you and her new home. If the condition continues, you can take her to an avian vet for an exam. Poop sticking to a budgie's feathers isn't normal.
