Seniors have you ever taken unused craft supplies & tools to donate to your neighborhood gradeschool?
I NEVER thought about this until recently....and took a big box of craft supplies I had, some tools, magazines with photos that could be cut out easily (National Geographic, flower catalogs, etc).
The lady in the office was ecstatic and said their own teachers often had to buy things like this & were always grateful for things that help make "project" days a little more afforable.
A few years ago, I was cleaning out a storage shed & I had 6 or 7 bins of craft items. I tried numerous schools & no one was interested. Not even the local community college & they had a child development department & daycare center! So...I took my items & a box of puppets to a local children's developmental center that works with "impaired" children & they were happy to have them. The director was very happy to come out to the car & get them herself!
