These days, decorating the dinner tables at a wedding reception is not quite enough. After all, everyone has centerpieces, right? Chandeliers have become very popular in recent years, and they are still very much in style. However, even a great idea can feel a little bit stale when everyone does it, so if you want to decorate your reception with chandeliers, choose unique ones. Chandeliers with a vintage girly curlique form take on a cool retro edge that can be a little bit goth when they are painted in a flat black color. Give them a French boudoir flair by dressing them up with strings of beads and pairing them with pink and black striped tablecloths. If you want to add lots of color to your reception ceiling, paper parasols are a sure winner. Their large size means that parasols will have a bit impact on your overall design scheme. They tend to look the most dynamic when lots of colors are used together. Parasols are also a nice idea because they are a relatively affordable way to really transform a space; certainly less expensive than covering the ceiling with great swaths of fabric or thousands of flowers. They could even have potential as a diy decorating project; simply order the parasols online and enlist some tall friends with ladders to hang them the day before the reception.
