Female Eclectus and School?
Ive been researching the Eclectus for 2 years now and have decided that a female eclectus is the bird for me. Im a sophomore in high school so im gone from 7:30 to 3:30 (sometimes 4:30). Is this okay? Ive read Eclectus' want a calm house and need some time for themselves. I will provide tons of toys and foraging objects in the cage while im at school. Im also shure after my dad becomes comfortable with her he will let her out for a little bit while im gone. After school I would be able to spend 5-6 quality hours with her. Does this sound do-able? After researching this for so long I want to be absolutely shure before i take the leap.

Eclectus can adjust very quickly to your routines & as long as you're able to spend plenty of time with her after school, supply her with loads of toys, a toy basket, foraging stuff & a LARGE cage it shouldn't be a problem.
While they like to occasionally be by themselves, they still need human interaction & brain stimulation to prevent boredom.
