Any tips to make a pet parrot's wings strong enough to fly?
I have a parrot for about a year in a cage since its birth. Of late I have been feeling guilty at putting him in prison just for the sake of my children's pleasure. I now strongly feel that I had no right to cease his freedom. A parrot's real life was in the free skies and not in the cage. I want to free him. But the problem is that having lived in the cage all his one-year life, he has neither the desire to go out nor his wings are strong enough to fly. I tried many times to bring him in the open. I also made him climb trees. But he would just keep sitting there, no desire to fly. Attempting small jumps, he would fall. In the cage, he remains happy.
I wonder if anyone could help me (i) how to make my parrot's wings strong enough so that he could fly, and (ii) motivate him to be free. Thanks in advance.
