I have had my parrot (Molly) for about six years,know nothing of her background. She/He was a play-full loving bird and now I am afraid to touch her.She bites so hard, that she cuts my skin. Just spend as much time talking to him as you can and let him come to you.I hung one of those curly ropes from the ceiling down to the top of the cage and he loves it spends a lot of time up there . I also put a perch on the side of the cage with a treat cup and it is close to my chair and when I set there he will come down and see me.Try and give it a mist shower from a spray bottle,like it is raining. They love a shower. I know it is very hard not to show her that you are afraid so try and make sure your hands don't come from the top down,because things over their head scares some of them. Let him come to you. She is just not use to being handled. I think you just should take your time and she will learn to trust you. Take your time. Good luck but I bet you can do it.
