in your experience, which is more fun? birds like parrotlets or birds like sun conures and mini macaws? (not really large parrots like macaws and cockatoos) which do u prefer?

I have found that small Parrots, have just as large personalities as large Parrots. Many smaller Parrots can learn tricks, phrases, whistles, and cues similar to their larger cousins. You also have to realize that smaller Parrots aren't as loud, don't bite as hard, and don't make as large of messes... so for some people they really are the way to go. If it's your first bird, I definitely suggest a smaller Parrot. Trying to take care of a large Parrot often proves too much for a first time bird owner.
Obviously, it depends on the type of Parrot though. Cockatoos are the loudest of the Parrots, and Sun Conures are very close behind. While the large Macaws are usually pretty quiet, but if you get bit it's going to do a lot more damage then say a Lovebird. A bird like a Quaker can be very nippy, where as larger parrots typically aren't. So there is a lot to think about, and it depends what your really looking for.
My personal favorite is the Lovebird, one of the smallest Parrots. They can learn small words, whistles, and are very much cue and trick orientated. They are very very loving when they are hand-raised, but do tend to be a bit on the nippy side. They are very quiet compared to other Parrots, and don't make too much of a mess. However, they are very bird aggressive and need to be kept in either a pair from a young age or by themselves.
