Ball python humidity question?
I am having problems keeping the humidity even near 60% in my 20 gallon (long) tank. I have a large water bowl which my ball python can easily bathe in but it does not keep the humidity even near 30%. So I added a damp towel inside the cage and another one above the iron mesh (covering most of it). Now the humidity pretty much reaches 40%. Is that and the water bowl enough or should I be trying another method. By the way, I have a heat lamp that keeps the temp in the coolest corner to about 80 degrees. I also mist the cage twice a day but that reaches max of 50% and only for an hour. Thank you.
Matthew N, I am not sure where you came up with that BS answer because I am pretty sure that after 2 weeks of research, almost everyone on the web says about 60%. You should do a little research before making up your answers for now on...
Try putting the heater right over the water bowl, that helps with the humidity, but make sure to always have enough water in there.
Also, spritsing the inside works pretty well.
