Im either buying rats or a bird...you decide?
I have done my research on both. I was thinking of 2 female rats or a budgie, parakeet or lovebird. I have a cage suitable for a bird or rats.
It is originally a large bird cage but I have made 3 stories out of it which are easy to take out if I do get a bird.
Let me know what pet you recommend and why, and your past experiences.

Im deciding between bird and rat because I want to train them.
I'd say get a rat.. I haven't personally had a rat, but my friend has 10 right now, and I have watched them several times.. They are quite amusing to watch, pretty cheap, and they don't make huge messes if they are in a suitable cage (a fish tank works great). My aunt has had birds, and my friends have birds, I have also watched them. Birds make noise, so if you don't like a lot of noise, birds are not right for you. (Not that rats are quiet, but usually during the day they are more quiet. But I'm judging that by 10 rats, two won't be as noisy). Birds are also very messy, they poop a lot and their poop will stick to stuff. But they are also good pets if you don't mind the noise or poop..
