I would like to find out what kind of bird I'm seeing at my bird feeder. It looks like a miniature blue jay, about half the size, smaller crest proportionally, medium grey where a blue jay is blue, light underside. I've seen female jays with their mates and this bird is considerably smaller and no trace of blue at all. The bird doesn't have the length of tail that a jay does either. It's bigger than a sparrow.
I live about 100 miles east of Dallas, Texas on a heavily wooded (oak) 3 acre lot.
Also if there is a good web site where you can plug in descriptions of birds and get possible pictures to identify, please share. Thx.
