Metal thing around my birds foot?
its a metal ring with numbers on it. all the birds have them in the pet store. is it necessary to have it on? can i get it removed? alos what is the purpose of it?
it is a leg band.I use them on the birds i breed and it can be removed.People use them to keep track of off-spring,records,and somtimes if your bird gets lost(like a collar).I would recremend keeping it on because if your bird does get lost(remember the numbers and letters on it)and you post up LOST posters and your bird is found it will tell you that its your bird.It doesnt hurt them at all,its like a dog or a cat having a collar on.Hope this helps!
