In the 80s there was a girls toy called "Fashion Plates". Was there ever a boy version where you design cars?
I am looking for a boy version of the popular 80's toy called "Fashion Plates". The fashion plates were plastic plates that you put together kind of like a puzzle and using a sheet of paper and a pencil, you scratched along the raised parts of the plates to make different outfits that you could then color or whatever. I am pretty sure that there was a version of that toy that you could do the same thing, but with cars instead of clothes. The only thing I can find online is "Little Van Goes". But, I am looking for cars with interchangeable parts like wheels, bodies, etc......

Yes, there was a version called Mighty Men, Monsters and Mutants. I had that one, my sister had Fashion Plates. My dad recently found the Might Men version at a Good Will, in the package, sold it on EBay.
As the name implies, you could create Super Heroes, Monster, and Aliens. Most of them were ripped off of Marvel and DC comics.
I don't know if any existed for cars though.
