my dad says i can have 1 bird and my mom suggested a mirror or toy because this is what she used for her parakeets so i was wondering would it have the same affect
the only reason i can only have one is because if i get more my lil brother would think it's unfair so only 1
a mirror is the better idea because the finch might pull the soft toy apart and ingest something bad and its unfair for the finch but you can work with one and have a companion finch ,not just a finch,try to get it young so it will be more open to you as a flock mate, be pachent and in my opinion it will work just take your time with it talk gently and Lovely to it,slowly place your hand in the cage after a while and let the finch come to you and let what happens happen you might be surprised.my wife had zebras 2 and they would ride on her shoulder or hand as long as she was careful they would stay,but if startled they would fly to the highest spot and perch till we got them and the danger they perceived was gone.to mack it easer trim its wings.
