How do i stop my budgies beak from growing?
My budgie (sprinkle) has a rather long beak and im scared its gonna grow too long and kill him. I rang the vet and the pet shop and they said not to get the beak trimmed because it has nerves and veins and could possibly end in death. He suggested i try beak block and pedi perches to keep the beak trimmed but it isnt doing anything. And also a few months ago it had mites but finally got rid of them and now this. I really dont know what else to do please help.
Extra long beaks happen for a couple of reasons...........mites will cause it and also a liver condition. If worried take it to the vet. It most likely needs a vet to reshape it after the mites it had and so it can grow normally again.
