My parakeets chewing on wood?
Ok I put seed , fruit , veggies , and water each day in the containers. Well since I have 6 of them I keep a small birdy nest in their. Well the last 2 days I notice that my birds chewed though a thick perch I put a new one in. I see that they were already chewing on it! Well I took anther look at the cage and they had went though anther perch. The little nest I do have at eh bottom of the cage was like a dome type of a thing and they was picking at it! Then all the peices of perch was in the nest all laid nicely!!! Is one of my birds preparing to lay eggs? I've had them for 2 years and never touched the nest or the perches before and they have a LOT of toys !!!
