Wouldn't a "1 Lure" Bass-fishing contest be interesting?
So your in a "1 lure" Bass tourney. AND you CAN'T fish with any form of plastic worm/grub.
You are fishing in a lake with heavy weed growth and depths down to 25 FT, (bowlshaped). Water is 75 degree's and the wind is 25 MPH out of the North. "Blue-bird" sky's. Thermocline is showing at 12-14 FT. This is a lake with resident docks.

I would be throwing a 3/4 oz Fire tiger Rattlin' Rap on 20lb Suffix Performance Braid, Lamiglas Certified Pro Fiberglass Crankin' Cast rod working the outside edges of weedlines in deep water and tops of submerged vegetation around 15', ripping it through the weed tops. I also would be pitching my bait into holes with less dense cover. I am looking for reaction bites here. Boat control is going to be the biggest issue under those circumstances so dock fishing is going to be tough. The Rattlin' Rap can be skipped under a dock and has good attracting qualities for that reaction bite. The only docks I fish are those docks with water moving into them from the front (docks on South sides of lake and facing North ) and not the sides. At weigh in I have 5 keepers weighing 15.67 pounds and am wondering why I didn't choose a 3/4 oz spinnerbait instead and stay on secondary weedy points.
