She comes to her toy which has a shoe dangling in the centre, around that are 4 columns of plastic chain, beaded with each other and all different colours. She stands by the red chain bead grabs it with her beak and stays stock still for ages hanging onto that one piece of red chain link. If i leave her alone she stays with it without moving for ages, as though she was a statue made of stone. When i come close she releases it and goes along the perch to the far corner of the cage. She has plenty of toys to play with but this is really the only one she touches most times.
Whats she doing or trying to say and do you have a bird with a reaction to one toy you give her.
Brooke, Often thought about getting another bird but i've been told that if that came about the bird might go off me slightly and bond more with her mate. The price is a bit steep at present anyway for buying. Thanks all the same.
You bird is in love!!! Another bird may be the option, otherwise move the toy in the cage to see how she reacts. Would advise against removing it totally without moving it first.
