Soooo.... Ive had my piggie for about 4 months now. She lives in a C&C cage and I wanted to make her cage exciting for her. I do give her plenty of floor time. (About 1-2 hours daily) But I want her to be super happy in her cage. These are the items she has so far in her cage.
*lil pigloo
*water bottle
*food bowl (for pellets)
* veggie bowl (fruits and veggies)
* couple of hangie bird toy
*10 inch tunnela
*toilet paper roll thingy
*tennis ball
* smaller tunnel [Trust me they are big enough for her to fit through)
I know her cage sounds pretty busy bt trust me its not she has ALOT of running around space. So please give me toy ideass! PLEASE! I want her to have fun when I'm not home and stuff. AHH THANKSS! (: (: (:
LOL, I love how you've listed all of her things, it sounds like an awesome piggy playpen!
You know your ice cream containers? Try getting one of those(or more) and cut a little hole(big enough for her to get through) as a door. Then make up a cushion from some material scraps and some stuffing and stick it in there so she has her own little ''lounge room''.
Or you could make a whole heap of those cushions and put one in different spots around her cage. You will see that when she finds them, she will laze about and lie on them. So cute! You could also stick in one of your old shirts/old material for her to play hidey in(my herd loves the material we put in for them, and usually you can just see their noses peeking from underneath!).
Other people have suggested(not sure if this has been added to anyone's answers yet or not) stuffing an empty toilet roll with hay so she can play and eat at the same time.
Remember, guinea pigs are not the playful and active animals people tend to think they are, they would much prefer to be hiding in/under something than to be out in the open(where their instincts tell them that they are in danger) so the more hidey things you have for her, the better. They are not like rats and mice who seem to need to be constantly active!
You could always suprise her and bring home another female guinea pig! I thought I might just throw that out there, but I don't know what your situation is, so I won't go any further but to say that this would help provide her plenty of fun and company while you are gone.
