Parrot problem?
i have a 27 year old Senegal Parrot, hes very anti-social and doesnt come out his cage. He's took to now shredding the paper in the bottom of his cage to bits, any ideas why he does this??

Im saying 'he' Of course he may be a 'she' and 'nesting'
However I think its as mine does, he's a conga grey aged nearlly 5 (hatchdate 30.10.02) & he shreds anything he can get hold of...but I think theyre funny, not problem. I did used to think that maybe mine didnt like the paper, but he seems to be ok with it, its just if I turn my attention to something else and am not giving him 100%, he reverts to something he knows he's not supposed to be doing...
So its attention seeking or boredom.
Go on the ammount of toys there is in there with him. If theres more than four say, its down to knowing he shouldnt be doing it.
Does he laugh when you watch him? Mine does. Purely based on the fact that he knows he's doing wrong. Funny!
