All sisal rope is oiled. It HAS to have SOME oil to run it through the machines that make it. No matter what that website claims, this rope is not braided by some native on an island somewhere. It is made in huge rope factories.
Your best bet is to go by the WEIGHT of the coil of rope. Since sisal rope manufacturers sell by the POUND (or kg.), some disreputable ones will heavily oil their rope to get more money per length of rope.
If you get rope that leaves a residue or stain in its packaging, you should return that rope. It has too much oil.
But above all, don't believe a vendor who says that they use sisal rope that is unoiled. At best, they are misinformed. This would probably be because they are reselling it, and are not the manufacturer at all.
