Conduct of festival staff?

My sister got a job cooking at leeds festival. She got a cold today but still went into work, asking if it would be ok or if it violated any hygeine regulations. In response they sent her back to her tent and told her that if she comes out, they'll take her wrist band and kick her out of the festival.

This sounds wrong to me and I'm curious as to it's legality.

Also, it has occurred to us that they think she's trying to bunk off work so she could see bands. But she did try to go to work and now it looks like she may not get to see her one band a day.

Again, this sounds wrong to me. So does anyone know if it's legal?

She has to walk past the place she'd be working to get into the festival, so they'd see her if she was to try to sneek out.

That's completely ridiculous IMO - they can't force her to stay in her tent. I suggest writing to the festival organisers and complaining.

They were right to stop her from working though. Festival food is dreadful enough without ill people sniffling and dripping snot into it!

I'm not familiar with the Leeds festival - is the camping area outside of the main festival grounds (so you have to show a wristband when going to/from the campsite) or is it like Glastonbury where the campsites are mixed in with the stage areas? If it's the latter I suggest she just diddles off and sees whatever bands she wants.
