What should you feed, how many times a day, and whats required in taking care of a parrot? Any info please.?
My husband was given two green parrots with yellow on the head and some red on the top of the wings and red and blues on the bottom of the feathers. The one parrot died the second day - the other is doing okay and we are trying to find another to keep it company. All helpful knowledge and suggestions are appreciated. I've never owned a bird before. I told my husband to build on our open 9ft by 9ft patio a roof and put screening for them. I feel birds should be free but it was my husbands present and all I can do is to make them as happy as possible. In the short time with the parrot (Jose) I've enjoyed him and gotten close to him but they're alot of work and time consuming - feeding and cleaning - just like a baby.
feed them pellets. its better for them then seeds. change the water daily, and refill the food dish as needed each day.
