1) Initiating black ops hypnosis with a negative mindset and without a set goal
This is a double mistake and this fact makes it a very serious one. The negative mindset makes you anxious, irritable and aggressive. How to avoid it? My advice is to use visualization and other hypnotic techniques to relax first.
Then, you have to say to yourself that you will win in any case. In order to gain confidence and stop worrying about the ethical side of things, you need to say to yourself that the thing you want the person to do will only benefit him.
Goal setting is essential for black ops hypnosis. You have to have a precise idea on what you need to get from your person you are trying to influence. You may want the person to relax, to do some work instead of you or to buy your product, if you are a salesperson. It is as simple as that.
2) Not diversifying the rapport building techniques you use
This is another serious black ops hypnosis mistake. Many novice practitioners believe it is sufficient to use mirror imaging, but it is often not. Besides, this technique takes time to practice in order to use it covertly and effectively.
I suggest combining mirror imaging with simpler techniques for rapport building, such as flattering and secret sharing. You should definitely use eye contact mirroring as well, but you may need to work on it extensively first before you get to apply it.
Vocabulary matching is another relatively simple and extremely effective technique to use for rapport building. It is best for you to use matching perception words and phrases, so that the other person can connect to you subconsciously.
3) Not using trance phrases
This is a very simple black ops hypnosis mistake that even a novice should not make, but sometimes it happens. If you are uncomfortable to use "imagine" or "see yourself", you may want to resort to simpler phrases, such as "what if". It works equally well and it is more conversational.
It is definitely a good idea for you to use trance phrases in all the sentences that you use to influence the person during the induction phase. You should also use them if you notice that the person is getting out of trance.
4) Using pattern interrupts without completing them
This is another relatively simple black ops hypnosis mistake that you can make easily. In order to avoid it, you simply have to come up with a patter interrupt and its completion at the same time.
It is equally important for you to actually create the patter interrupt and its completion with a purpose. The idea is not only to get the person back into a state of trance, but to influence him powerfully at the same time. You should not miss such an opportunity, when it presents itself.
5) Not using presuppositions for influencing
Presuppositions are some of the most powerful tools in black ops hypnosis. On top of this, they are really simple to use. They are extremely effective for slipping in embedded commands in a variety of flexible ways. There is no reason why you should not use them.
Using questions with presuppositions to make embedded commands is particularly effective. Questions like "Which product will you buy - the red or the yellow?", "What will you do after having completed X (the thing you want the person to do?" and "How relaxed are you feeling now?" work like magic.
The key to using presuppositions successfully is to know what question will trigger an automatic response rather than a critical thought that may ruin the hypnotic state.
