Of course, since you are feeding and watering your finches, you will then have to clean up after them. Giving your pet a clean cage is one of the most important parts of finch care. A dirty cage can quickly lead to a sick finch. Cleaning the cage is quick and easy if you use a newspaper lining. All you have to do is remove the top layer or two each day and thoroughly clean the tray once a week. It is also recommended that you clean the entire cage every other month. This can be done easily in a very hot shower with a scrub brush.
