I have a 6mo old sun conure who is breaking off his tail feathers.?
I have changed diet, I have replaced toys, no changes. He does not pull them out just chews them off. Any suggestions?
Your conure could have a skin irritant, perhaps try bathing him for often so he can clean whatever residue is on his feathers right off himself. Birds should be bathing 5 times a week, especially into the summer months.

I know the last link is on parakeet foods but it applies for almost all parrots anyway.
I'd also recommend different types of toys - like the puzzle ones that they have to unlock or figure out, chewables, indestructables, wooden toys, swings, boings, shredables, etc. to see what his personal preference may be. I found that my macaw hates raw hide type toys so they all have their favorites!
