parrot in love with a toy?
My amazon came from a basement full of parrots as a breeder, she is now in love with a stuffed toy parrot of mine, is this ok, or should I take it away? Should I buy another parrot with the risk of her hating it, anyone else have a similar experience
What you describe is quite natural 
I wouldn't start worrying about it unless the bird became aggressive around it - as in 'Come near this toy and your hands are MINE!' aggressive. Then I would take it away. At this point don't bother. My opinion on getting a second bird is don't. Not yet. Getting a second bird encourages more behavior problems if the ones causing the first bird to act weird aren't fixed. In the end you have two problematic birds in stead of one.
I've heard of many silly stories of birds going nuts over dusters and brooms. Heck, one of my conures adored a stuffed dog toy ^.^ . Perfectly natural!
