3 month old infant (in 2 days) Should I be worried?????
My daugter will be 3 months in 2 days. I am quite concerned about her development. Maybe I'm being paranoid or just simply don't know what to expect from my 3 month old. When I dangle a toy in front of her (the colorful kind that makes noises) she does't show any interest in reaching for it. Also, when i rattle next to her ear she doesn't respond to that , but if I make a sound whe she's trying to sleep she will open her eyes. Now her ears were checked in the hospital and I know she hears because she seems to respond to what she wants to respond to. Should I be worried or is this part of the the developement that takes time?? And then sometimes while laying in bed she'll stare at the ceiling fan. I'm just worried or maybe I don't know what to expect and just simply expecting too much. Please help, does any of this sound like cause for concern. Last think she does make lost of eye contact and follow me w/ her eyes when I'm in the room and she smiles and coo's/giggles. -New Mommy
shes fine!! babys dont generally start showing interest in toys until 3-4 months and even then its just batting at them, grabbling will start closer to 4 on average. babycenter.com is a great resource for new moms. also keep in mind all babies do things at different times. if she was like 6 months and showing no interest then maybe i would start to think but shes little just enjoy it while u can!!
