Some of the easiest kid's crafts are paper crafts. Why? Because with just some paper, scissors and glue the possibilities are endless. Add some extra craft supplies and you have a great craft. These photo projects make great gifts and are perfect for those numerous school pictures that always seem to be left over.

Photo Sunflowers

This is a photo frame for your child to display or give.

9" paper plate

6" foam bowl

Green construction paper

Yellow and brown acrylic paint

Child's Photo

Paint the back side of the foam bowl with the brown paint. Let dry. Paint the front of the paper plate yellow. Let dry. Add glue to the top of the rim of the foam bowl. Flip upside down and glue to the center of the painted paper plate. Cut leaves from the green paper and glue to the sunflower. If the picture is larger than the bottom of the foam bowl, trim to fit. Glue the photo to the bottom of the bowl.

Paint the paper plate if you desire. Let dry. Trace the child's hand print onto a piece of construction paper and cut out. Glue the paper doily onto the center of the plate. Glue the hand print onto the paper doily. The child's photo needs to fit in the "palm" of the hand print. Trim if needed. Using the glitter glue, write the child's name on the hand. Add their age if desired. Now let the child's creativity shine and allow them to add the embellishments they wish. Let dry then hang for all to see.

Small Child's photo

Use Microsoft Word to make the Star and Circle templates. Note: The following directions are for the 2007 version of Word. For older versions of Word, use "Help" to find how to add a shape.

Create a new document. Under the "Insert" tab, select "Shapes." Choose the star shape. In the document, add the star by holding the left mouse button and dragging the cursor. Make sure your star will print on an 8.5"x11" sheet. Next select a circle shape and add to your document the same as you did for the star. The circle should fit in the center of the star you make. Print the template and cut out the star and the circle.

Using the star and circle templates you made, trace the shapes onto the construction paper and cut out. Glue the circle onto the center of the star. Your child's photo will need to fit in the circle. Use the circle template as a guide and cut the photo about a Â¼" smaller. Glue the child's photo to the center of the circle. Decorate the star using the glitter glue. Let dry. Enjoy your time in the spotlight.
